About

x|o shaman (pronounced exo – [ɛk.so]), Olivier Brosselin, is a writer, director, and digital arts artist.

He works with writing, image, digital systems, and artificial intelligence. Not as neutral tools. As zones of friction.

What interests him are thresholds. The moments when something shifts. When perception changes. When reality cracks.

His work does not stem directly from traditional shamanism. It draws inspiration from it.

x|o shaman occupies a position of mediation.

Between the sensory and the symbolic. Between the human and its technological extensions. Between the visible and what escapes it.

Films, installations, digital systems, hybrid writings. The forms vary. The question remains. What becomes of our narratives, our bodies, our consciousnesses when technologies alter our ways of seeing, thinking, feeling?

For x|o shaman, art is a space of experimentation.

A place of transformation. A place where one observes what is mutating. And what that does, concretely, to the human.
